Community Impact

Arts & Culture, Health & Human Services, Community Betterment, Recreation & Environment, Education and Youth Development . . . everywhere we look  -- together, we can improve the quality of life for the people of Hardin County.

Investing in the Community

Every year, HCCEF makes grants to nonprofit organizations in Hardin County. These funds support a broad array of organizations. Grants from these funds can be advised  personally by the donor, directed to a general cause, made in memory of a loved one or directed by the knowledge and experience of Foundation staff.

An Active Steward

The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation is a "give through" rather than a "give to" organization  --  fundraising not for our own operations, but developing funds which are then distributed locally.

Through our grants, we help community organizations increase their capacity to serve. We believe in the expertise and creativity of nonprofit groups, and provide support to help them do what they do best.

We work to strengthen nonprofits by offering a variety of training programs and networking opportunities that build their capacity and organizational structure. We regularly evaluate those nonprofits that receive our grant funding, to assure our donors as well as ourselves that the funds are producing the maximum benefit for improving lives.

Community Convener

The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation brings donors together with nonprofit leaders to discuss challenges and to find creative solutions using the wisdom of both the private and public sectors.

In all our activities, we strive to make a difference in the lives of the people who live, work and play in Hardin County.
