Working with a community foundation can provide a helpful link to resources for charitable planning. The FEMC is able to provide financial illustrations for a variety of life income gifts, sample language for a Donor Advised Fund and other types of funds. Whether you're an attorney, trust officer, financial planner, investment advisor or certified public accountant, or have a specific interest in the technical aspects of planned giving, we can help you help your clients explore their options.

Working with Donors

Charitable planning is important to our mission. Our goal in working with professional advisors is to help you find the best solutions for your client and to reinforce your client relationship.

Resources for Advisors

Developing a charitable plan that takes into account your clients' financial and charitable needs is no small task. As a professional advisor, the opportunity you have to help your clients achieve their philanthropic goals is both a privilege and a challenge.

We want to be a resource for you as well as a philanthropic partner for your clients. A full understanding of the many possibilities of charitable giving, which can offer specific tax benefits, can also help your clients achieve financial, personal or business goals.

We consider attorneys, accountants, financial planners, insurance agents and other professionals who have relationships with donors to be our valued partners in charitable giving. This section of our site makes tools and information available to help you ensure that your clients receive the full benefit of their contributions while supporting the charities of their choice.

Through our affiliation with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation, we have unique resources available for you to use in helping donors craft their charitable giving plans.

The Foundation for the Enhancement of Mitchell County is here to help you with the donation process. If you have questions about our advisor resources that have not been answered in this section, please contact Bill Denner at billd@cusb.com or by calling 641-732-4790.
